The simplest approach to eliminate static in sublimation printing ink production is "ground", that is to make the metal conductor electrically connecte with the earth, it has equipotential connection with the earth, the charge will leak through the earth, but this method for insulator almost no effect.
1. The use of antistatic agents to eliminate static electricity
Antistatic agents mainly are inorganic salts, surfactants, inorganic semiconductors. Most of antistatic agents commonly used in the printing belong to surfactant, one end has lipophilicity, that readily adsorbed polymer materials. The other end has hydrophilicity, that easily absorbed moisture in the air, thereby reducing charge accumulation. In the production of printing, the antistatic agent is sprayed on the paper surface or other parts to enhance the moisture absorption, surface resistance decreases, so that the electrostatic rapidly leakage to avoid the accumulation of static electricity. In addition, adding an appropriate amount of an antistatic agent in makeing paper process, which may also be received very good results.
2. Improve pressroom humidity
Practice has proved that when the relative humidity is less than 50% in the printing shop, it easily generated high static electricity, a simple way to eliminate static electricity is to control the relative humidity of the printing environment. Thus, paper storage places and pressroom should maintain a certain relative humidity. Under normal circumstances, the pressroom temperature controlled at about 20 ℃, relative humidity is 60%, rarely generate static electricity.
